Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Sound Postal Pack & Ship. By using our services—including packing, shipping, mailbox rental, notary, printing, copying, faxing, and retail services—you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. These terms are governed by Washington State law and applicable federal regulations, including USPS guidelines.

1. General Service Terms

  • By using our services, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

  • Sound Postal Pack & Ship reserves the right to refuse service to any customer for reasons including safety, legality, security, or policy compliance.

  • Prices, services, and hours are subject to change without prior notice.

2. Shipping Services

2.1 Carrier Responsibility

We ship through UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, and other carriers. Once a package is tendered to the carrier:

  • Liability transfers to the shipping carrier.

  • Delivery times are not guaranteed unless the service selected includes a carrier guarantee.

  • Sound Postal Pack & Ship is not liable for carrier delays, damages, or lost packages.

2.2 Declared Value & Insurance

  • Declared value or purchased insurance is carrier-specific and subject to the carrier’s policies.

  • Filing a claim is the customer’s responsibility unless a packing guarantee applies.

  • Improperly disclosed or prohibited items may void carrier liability.

2.3 Prohibited Items

You agree not to ship hazardous, illegal, restricted, or improperly packaged items. This includes items restricted by DOT, TSA, USPS, or shipping carriers.
We reserve the right to inspect suspicious packages or refuse shipment.

3. Packing Services

3.1 Packing Guarantee

  • If Sound Postal Pack & Ship packs your item using our materials and our methods, we may assist in filing a damage claim with the carrier.

  • If you self-pack your items (“Packed by Customer”), we are not liable for any damage or claim denial.

3.2 Fragile or High-Risk Items

Certain items (glass, artwork, electronics, irregular items) may require special packing or may be shipped at “owner’s risk.”

4. Mailbox Rental (CMRA) Services

  • Forwarding incurs additional fees and must be requested in writing.

  • Customers must provide clear address updates.

4.4 Termination

Upon termination:

  • We may return mail to sender.

  • You may not file a USPS Change-of-Address form from our address (USPS regulation).

  • Locker keys must be returned; lost keys may incur a replacement fee.

5. Notary Services

  • Valid government ID is required for all notarizations.

  • A notary may refuse service if identification is invalid, if the signer appears unwilling or unaware, or if the notary is not legally permitted to complete the act.

6. Printing, Copying & Fax Services

  • We are not responsible for the content, legality, accuracy, or confidentiality of documents provided by customers.

  • Digital storage devices may be scanned for viruses for security purposes.

  • We are not liable for corrupted files or incompatible formats.

  • All sales are final unless otherwise stated.

  • Shipping labels, postage, and mailbox rental fees are non-refundable.

  • Refunds on product purchases are at management discretion.

  • Chargebacks for legitimate transactions may result in suspension of service.

8. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:
